So what do these handyman services cost and how does payment work?

The basic charge for my handyman service is $30.00 per hour. There is a one-hour minimum service charge for each visit. In other words, if I perform work at your home and it only takes 20 minutes, the charge will be $30.00 for the first-hour minimum. After the first hour, charges will be calculated at $15.00 for each additional half hour.

I am happy to purchase any materials required for your project. The cost for the materials and supplies will be added onto the $30.00 per hour service charge. If you would prefer to purchase the supplies and materials yourself, you are welcome to do so. I do reserve the right to not use any materials or supplies which would result in a dangerous situation once the project is completed. If you choose to purchase the supplies and materials yourself, I would recommend that you and I discuss, via phone or email, the details before you head to the store.

If the project requires specialized tool or equipment rental, that cost will be added onto the $30.00 per hour service charge.

Once you have contacted me, we will discuss your project (via phone or email) and I will give you an estimate of the time and cost of materials. Some projects are pretty straight forward and easy to estimate. More complex projects may require a wider-ranging estimate.

If the project location is outside of the service area listed on the service area page, there will be an additional travel charge added to the basic $30.00 per hour service charge. This additional travel charge will be roughly $5.00 per 10 miles outside of the service area. Any additional travel charge will be agreed upon by both you and I prior to the project.
